We think good food is worth the effort. In the early hours of every morning, our craft bakers are hard at work creating breads, pies and cakes for you to enjoy in our bakery shop and teahouse and restaurant. Our ovens are fired up all day, every day, seven days a week!
From bake house to bakery shop – no food miles involved!
Here at The Hazelmere we know how important it is to keep things local. Hazelmere breads, savouries and confectionaries are all prepared in our in-house bakery, which means that produce is fresh on the shelves in a matter of minutes – no food miles here! And, wherever possible, we source ingredients from local shops and suppliers. The delicious range of Hazelmere chutneys, jams and preserves are all homemade and we are proud to grow some of the fruit ourselves. Be sure to taste our famous damson conserve, made with fruit from the renowned local damson area of the Lyth Valley.
Our breads are traditionally baked, and range from delicious Farmhouse whites, to spelt & honey and beetroot & apple. We also make over thirty different cakes fresh each day: strawberry tarts, Eccles cakes and other regional specialties like Cumberland rum nicky and Yorkshire curd tarts, all baked to The Hazelmere secret recipe! Opening hours for the bakery shop are:
7.30 am – 3.30 pm Monday – Saturday
Open on Sunday 9.30 – 3.30
The tea house and restaurant is now open:
Monday – Friday 10.00am – 4.00pm Saturday and Sunday 9.30am – 4.00 pm
